House Fire Left $100K in Damage, Injured Firefighter: Officials
Fire marshal gives update on Thursday's one-alarm house fire on Carrs Mill Road.

FALLSTON, MD ā The cause of a house fire that caused $100,000 in damage in Fallston and injured one firefighter Thursday night is under investigation, the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby notified authorities of the blaze in the 2200 block of Carrs Mill Road at 9:56 p.m.
Approximately 50 firefighters responded, bringing the one-alarm fire under control within 40 minutes.

The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported that it sent three engines and a tower truck to assist. The lead agency was the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company, which was supported by surrounding fire companies.
One firefighter sustained a minor hand injury and received treatment for it at the scene, the fire marshal said.

The blaze began in the kitchen, but the cause was still under investigation, officials reported Friday morning.
As a result of the fire, there was $50,000 in structural damage to the rancher; approximately $50,000 worth of items inside the home were also lost, officials said.
