UPDATED: Edgewood House Fire Was Ruled Arson

The fire marshal is investigating a fire that broke out at a split-level home Wednesday morning in Edgewood.

EDGEWOOD, MD — Firefighters called to a home in Edgewood Wednesday morning said that there was smoke showing when they arrived, according to officials.

Crews were at the scene of the house fire in the 1200 block of Windy Branch Way before 8:30 a.m., the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported.

According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the blaze was intentionally set by a man who lived there and was involved in a family dispute. Authorities said charges were pending in the arson case.
