Joppa Man Killed In Aberdeen Motorcycle Crash: Police

Police said a motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning at an intersection in Harford County.

BEL AIR, MD — A Harford County man on a motorcycle died in a crash in Aberdeen Thursday morning, according to police. Officials said he was hit by a minivan at US 40 at MD 7.

Gregg Wood, 57, of Joppa, was driving a 2009 Harley-Davidson around 5:10 a.m. when a minivan crashed into his motorcycle at the intersection on Route 40 east at Route 7, police said.

Medics pronounced Wood deceased at the scene, according to officials.

Investigators said the other driver stayed at the scene, and it was unclear why the 2001 Dodge minivan did not stop at the traffic light.

No charges have been filed, Maryland State Police reported.
