Lightning Strikes In Harford County, No Injuries: Officials

When a storm passed through Friday night, there was a lightning strike, Harford County emergency officials reported.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Lightning struck north of Forest Hill Friday night, officials said.

The strike happened in the 3400 block of Sharon Road, off MD 24, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. The location was near Rocks State Park.

First the lightning hit a home, then it traveled through a tree, according to Gardiner, who said: "The amazing power of electricity and Mother Nature!"
