Ma and Pa Trailhead in Bel Air Closed for Repairs

Harford County Parks and Recreation will make repairs to trail caused by erosion, leading to temporary closure on Williams Street.

BEL AIR, MD – The Ma & Pa trailhead on Williams Street in Bel Air is closed for approximately 30 days so county workers can complete emergency repairs.

Storms have caused the culvert past the trailhead to erode, and county officials said the repairs would prevent additional damage and would protect the trail from being negatively impacted down the line.

Harford County Parks and Recreation officials said the trailhead was expected to reopen around June 15.

The 30-day closure will allow for work on the culvert, while all other parts of the trail will remain open, officials said.

Trailgoers can access the Ma & Pa Trail through the Liriodendron Mansion parking lot nearby. See more trail access points from the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail Inc.
