Man Dies In Truck Crash Near Dublin: Police

Police said a man died when his truck went down an embankment and caught fire Monday morning in Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — One person died in a single-vehicle crash near Dublin early Monday morning, police said. The driver has not yet been identified. His truck went off the road and ended up on fire, according to investigators.

Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack found the truck when they were called to the crash in the 4000 block of Conowingo Road after 2:40 a.m. Monday. The silver Ford F-150 had gone off the right side of the road down an embankment, rotated, hit a tree, overturned and caught fire, police reported.

Firefighters put out the fire and removed the driver from the vehicle, according to authorities, who said he was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, according to Maryland State Police.

Nobody else was injured, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
