Belcamp Man Found In Georgia: Sheriff

Officials say they located Willie Lewis Colvin, who disappeared en route from Harford County to Alabama.

BELCAMP, MD — A man who left Belcamp on Sunday to go visit a relative never arrived, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. After authorities asked for information regarding his whereabouts, they reported he was in Georgia, where he had been involved in a crash.

Willie Lewis Colvin, 77, left home in the 4300 block of Declaration Circle in Belcamp in his gray 2018 Jeep Compass with license plate HZ61453, according to the sheriff's office. He was last seen at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6.

Colvin was headed to visit a relative in Letohatchee, Alabama, authorities reported, but he did not get there. The 6-foot-tall, 235-pound man was last seen wearing a red and black polo shirt with jeans, officials said.

By Wednesday afternoon, officials said they learned he was out of state.

"He was involved in a motor vehicle collision in Georgia and is currently being treated for his injuries," the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
