After retirement, she enjoyed showing her dogs in obedience or taking them to local nursing homes as therapy dogs. However, her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her late husband, she would often be found attending their sporting events, concerts, taking them on vacations from Maine to Florida or at the dinner table doing crafts with them. It was because of that love shown to them that she was able to pass at her home with dignity, for it was the two oldest granddaughters that gave her around-the-clock care.
She is survived by her children; David J. of Cambridge, Mary K. of Bel Air, Steven B. of Bel Air and K. Amy (Donny Collier, Sr.) of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Laura, Megan, Steven, Kevin, Olivia, Hannah, Donny, Jr. and Brandon; great grandchildren, Kyllie, Landon, Alex and Carter. She is also survived by her brother, Robert J. Wieners, Jr. of Bel Air.
