Maryland Travel Advisory: Drivers Encouraged to Stay Off Roads Saturday Morning
Crashes were reported around the state, where roads were slick with ice.
Drivers should delay travel plans on Saturday morning, the Maryland State Highway Administration advised.
Multiple crashes were reported across the region, some involving more than a dozen vehicles.
Vehicles were spinning out due to ice on roads, where freezing rain fell overnight. Elevated surfaces, ramps and bridges were likely to be frozen over, according to state transportation officials, who advised what looks wet would most likely be icy.
