UPDATE: Missing Woman Has Been Found, Police Say

Police said a woman with ties to Harford County was found unharmed days after she was reported missing.

UPDATE (12:20 p.m.) — Missing Wicomico County woman Katie Cook has been located, according to Maryland State Police.

Authorities said that troopers found Cook minutes before noon on Thursday; she was safe in Howard County.

Police said that a crime had not occurred.

Cook had been reported missing Tuesday after her family had not heard from her since Sunday. She had relatives in Harford County, according to police.

After 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, investigators were searching the US 1 area in Jessup when they found her.

BEL AIR, MD — A woman from the Eastern Shore has been reported missing, and authorities say she has contacts in Harford County.

Police said Katie M. Cook, 27, was last seen at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 12, near MD 175 at US 1 in Howard County, where she was visiting a relative.

Cook is described as a white woman who is 5 feet 4 inches tall and approximately 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and blond shoulder-length hair, according to officials. She was wearing a long, hooded jacket.

Cook is from Willards, Maryland, and usually checks in with family. Her mother reported her missing Tuesday, March 14, after being unable to get in touch with her, telling officials that it is unusual for several days to go by without family hearing from her.
