Model T Among Casualties in Joppa Garage Fire: Officials
The Office of the State Fire Marshal said blaze caused $370,000 in damage.

A garage fire in Joppa caused $370,000 in damage Monday morning, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby saw the fire in the 500 block of Magnolia Road at 10:53 a.m. and alerted authorities, the fire marshal reported.

Approximately 25 firefighters from Joppa-Magnolia, Abingdon, APG and Kingsville responded, bringing the blaze under control within 25 minutes, according to the report.
Magnolia Road was closed between Hanson and Trimble roads until after noon, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported.

The blaze began inside the three-bay garage, which housed a Model T Ford, 1993 Ford Mustang and 1996 Mustang, the fire marshal said.
As a result of the incident, the three vehicles had “extensive smoke, soot and water damage,” the report said.
In a report Monday afternoon, the fire marshal said the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
