Multi-Vehicle Crash Snarled Traffic on I-95 South
Crash occurred south of Joppa Sunday evening.
A crash that reportedly involved several vehicles slowed traffic on Interstate 95 south Sunday evening near Kingsville.
Nine vehicles collided, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART), which said the crash was reported at 7:08 p.m. on I-95 south of the exit for MD 152, near milepost 72.3.
After 7:30 p.m., transportation officials reported all lanes were closed on I-95 south past the MD 152 exit, and traffic was at a standstill.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the crash along with Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, said all lanes had been blocked temporarily and drivers were advised to take alternate routes like US 40, MD 7 or US 1.
At 7:55 p.m., three lanes had reopened on I-95 south in the area, and only one lane was blocked for cleanup, according to CHART.
