National Geographic Live Speaker Series: Deadliest Catch
An expert in toxins, Dr. Takacs has traveled to more than a hundred countries and caught thousands of reptiles.
Tickets are on sale now for National Geographic Live Speaker Series: Deadliest Catch featuring herpetologist and toxinologist Zoltan Takacs. The lecture will be held on Friday, October 6, at 7 PM in the Chesapeake Theater at Harford Community College.
Dr. Takacs will discuss how he and his colleagues have developed a state-of-the-art technology that will provide a novel way to develop new toxin-based drugs for various diseases, covering everything from cancer to circulatory disorders.
A reception with the speaker takes place in the Chesapeake Center from 6:15 to 7 PM. Light refreshments will be served.
