Moores Mill Road Project Delayed Due To Conflict
A construction project to improve Moores Mill Road will get underway in spring 2019, Harford County officials say.

BEL AIR, MD — Roadwork on Moores Mill Road has been postponed, Harford County officials announced on Monday, Dec. 10. Because of conflicts with utility work, authorities said the project was delayed.
The closure was originally planned to last from late November through January. It was to affect Moores Mill Road between MD 924 and US 1.
Officials said the work has been rescheduled for spring 2019.

PREVIOUS REPORT: A section of Moores Mill Road will close for two months starting Monday, Nov. 26. The closure will allow for road reconstruction.

Residents who live on this part of the road will be allowed to get through, and so will school buses and emergency vehicles.
All other drivers will be detoured around this stretch of Moores Mill Road.
The closure is expected to last from approximately Nov. 26 to Jan. 26, 2019.
Once the spring arrives, crews will again close this part of Moores Mill Road to complete the work.
Another section of Moores Mill Road that has already been improved from Southampton Road to US 1 earned Harford County an award. Moores Mill Road improvements in that case included resurfacing; paving; widening; leveling; curb, gutter and sidewalk installation; driveway tie-ins; drainage, erosion and sediment control; and landscaping.
