Alfred Jerry Taylor is a photographic artist who has traveled to several different countries in his role as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. In those travels he had the opportunity to interact with different cultures and people groups. The images in his upcoming photographic art show are a result of years of travel. The show will be held at the Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air, Maryland http://www.liriodendron.com/ beginning April 23 at 1:00 pm.
The three images represent the three points of the show. People is represented by a little Gypsy boy in Romania in his compound. There are images of people from Thailand, Kenya, and Myanmar. Place is represented by an image from Romania that was the birth place of the man Vlad - the Impaler; he was the foundation for the story Dracula. There are other place images from Thailand, Kenya, Myanmar, and the United States. “What are Portions?” Jerry was asked. "Every artistic rendering is only part of a whole and therefore a Portion of something larger.” The image of the Crucifixion is outside of every town that has a Greek Orthodox church in Romania. All the images are for sale and 10% of all sales will go to Remember the Children who work with orphan housing in Romania and Tanzania. https://www.remember-the-child...
Jerry has stories about every image. Someone, who saw the behind the scenes display, described the images and the show as, "Humanity - each image is telling a story." Another person on the pre-opening tour stated, "I think this show should be seen in Baltimore or other cities in our area." Finally, another visitor from out of state said, "This is the finest exhibit I've seen in years and I go to lots of art exhibits."
