Reward Speeds Up Arrest of Suspected Power Wheels Thief

The Baltimore woman is accused of stealing more than $10K in Power Wheels and televisions.

The days of stealing Power Wheels and other “toys” may be numbered for one suspect in an alleged theft ring.

The Bel Air Police Department has a warrant for a Baltimore woman in connection with major thefts from the Bel Air Toys R Us and HH Gregg that were reported over the summer, the department announced Friday.

Monique Danette Davis, 43, of Baltimore, is wanted in connected with the theft of more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from the two Bel Air stores between July 11 and July 16, police said.

Officials said Friday there was a reward of up to $2,000 for information regarding Davis’s whereabouts, and by Friday evening, she had been taken into police custody, according to Detective Sergeant Jim Lockard of the Bel Air Police Department.

Multiple suspects were involved in the thefts from the Bel Air Toys R Us and HH Gregg stores, allegedly stealing Samsung televisions and Power Wheels, police reported in July.

Officials said the suspects may be involved in similar crimes in Baltimore and Prince George’s counties as well as in Virginia and Pennsylvania.

The other suspects have not been identified, Lockard told Patch Friday.
