Porta-Potty Was Set Ablaze at Red Pump Elementary: Fire Marshal

A portable toilet was set on fire Tuesday night outside Red Pump Elementary School, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby reported the porta-potty fire at 5:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, according to the fire marshal.
Five firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 600 block of Red Pump Road, bringing the blaze under control within five minutes, the fire marshal reported.

According to the report, the porta-potty—which is owned by United Services and located on Red Pump Elementary School property—sustained $5,000 in damage.

The fire marshal said the blaze was intentionally set.
