Refreeze Risk Prompts Schedule Change For Tuesday: Harford Co. Schools

Harford County Public Schools has announced a change in the schedule for Tuesday morning due to a risk of refreezing roads and sidewalks.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Because of a concern about refreezing in the overnight, Harford County Public Schools will have a two-hour late start Tuesday.

The two-hour late start also includes Swan Creek and offices. There won't be morning Early Learners and Learning Together programs, or before school childcare.

"This delay is necessary due to road conditions and the need for additional treatment on roads and lots in specific areas in the county," the school district stated.

The situation will be re-evaluated by 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, the district stated.

School bus route status information is posted on hcps.org to notify the community of any delays or transportation issues.
