2 Rescued from Rollover Crash at Mountain Road Intersection: Officials

First responders rescued a pair trapped at collision in Fallston Friday evening.

FALLSTON, MD — Two people were rescued from a crash at a major intersection in Fallston during the evening rush hour Friday, and drivers were advised to avoid the area if possible. The collision occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on US 1 at MD 152, transportation officials reported.

Both individuals refused medical transport after they were freed by first responders, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

US 1/Belair Road was completely shut down in both directions.

"The intersection remains blocked and major delays are expected," Chenworth said around 5:30 p.m.

Drivers were advised to take alternate routes to avoid the crash area.

This was the second incident in which Harford County first responders performed a rescue over the course of several hours on MD 152 on Friday afternoon.

Before 2 p.m., an adult was trapped in a vehicle on Fallston Road/MD 152 near Youths Benefit Elementary School.
