Sally Beauty Fire In Edgewood Started In Store: Fire Marshal
The Office of the State Fire Marshal is probing a blaze at a strip mall that broke out Wednesday night in Edgewood.

EDGEWOOD, MD — The cause of a fire at Sally Beauty in Edgewood is under investigation, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The fire marshal said the blaze began in the storage/office area in the back of the store, which is located in Woodbridge Center, located in the 1400 block of Pulaski Highway.
A store manager discovered the fire at 10:53 p.m. on Wednesday, officials said.

Both the smoke alarm and sprinklers went off, according to the fire marshal, and 25 firefighters brought the one-alarm blaze under control within 10 minutes. The primary responding agency was the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which reported that Abingdon, APG, Fallston and Kingsville assisted as well.
As a result of the blaze, the fire marshal estimated there was $500 in structural damage and $500 worth of damage to items inside the store.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Thursday, the fire marshal said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-836-4844.
