School Bus Crash In Bel Air: 2 Hospitalized, Officials Say
A school bus crash sent two people to area hospitals on Monday afternoon and temporarily closed Prospect Mill Road, officials said.
BEL AIR, MD — Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus in Bel Air Monday afternoon, according to authorities. The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
A school bus and a car collided in the 1000 block of Prospect Mill Road around 3 p.m. on Monday, May 6, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the incident.
One person was taken by ambulance to a regional trauma center, Gardiner said, while another was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Four students had been aboard the bus at the time of the crash, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, which reported none of them was hospitalized. There were a total of five people on the bus who declined medical treatment, Gardiner said.
A child who was in the car was taken to the hospital as a precaution, officials said.

Prospect Mill Road was closed from Wentworth Drive to Thomas Run Road until about 5:20 p.m., the sheriff's office reported.
