Scotto's Italian Restaurant Closes in Festival at Bel Air
The family-owned Italian eatery in the shopping center off MD 24 has reportedly closed.

BEL AIR, MD — The Festival at Bel Air has reportedly lost one of its restaurants.
Scotto's Cafe closed Sunday night after being unable to renegotiate the terms of its lease with the shopping center's management despite months of negotiations, The Aegis reported. Diego Colamonaco, who owns Scotto's Cafe, told the newspaper thatthe independently owned restaurant could not keep up with the rising rental rates set by the shopping center.
The Italian restaurant has been around since 1992, run as a family business.

In 2015, Bel Air Patch readers said Scotto's was one of their top spots to take out-of-town guests, offering made-to-order Italian meals.
There are more than a dozen restaurants at the Festival at Bel Air. Most are chains, like Chipotle, Chuck E. Cheese's, Panera and Pita Pit, with a few independent restaurants such as Coffee Coffee and Fuji Sushi in the mix as well.
