Shell Station Fire Under Investigation Off Emmorton Road
Firefighters handled a gas station blaze Monday night in Bel Air off MD 924, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating.
BEL AIR, MD — Fire broke out at the Shell station off Emmorton Road Monday night, officials said. The cause remains under investigation, the Office of the State Fire Marshal reported Tuesday morning.
A passerby reported the fire at 11:26 p.m., according to authorities. About 10 firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company brought the blaze under control within 25 minutes, the fire marshal said.
The fire off MD 924 caused about $10,000 in damage, officials reported. Structural damage was estimated at $5,000, while about $5,000 worth of items inside the building were also lost, investigators said.

The cause and origin of the fire have not yet been determined, according to the fire marshal. Nobody was injured.
