ShopRite Temporarily Evacuated In Forest Hill: Officials

Elevated carbon monoxide readings were found at the store on Rock Spring Road, according to Harford County fire and EMS.

FOREST HILL, MD — First responders were called to ShopRite in Forest Hill Tuesday evening and reportedly found high carbon monoxide readings.

At 5 p.m., the building in the 2100 block of Rock Spring Road had been evacuated, and crews were at the scene, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Nobody was sick or injured, she said before 5:30 p.m.

The Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration was being notified, according to Chenworth. The fire department requested assistance from the Harford County Health Department as well, she said.
