Wounded Aberdeen Officer is Home, Police Say

Officer Jason Easton, the Aberdeen policeman who was shot in the face Friday working the night shift, has returned home from the hospital, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.

The community has raised more than $6,000 on GoFundMe for the Easton family, which police say includes the officer, his wife and their two young children, as he undergoes recovery and follow-up doctor visits.>>>read more.

Guard Cut in Bar Brawl, Officer Hit By Fleeing Truck

The brawl was reported early Saturday at the bar, 8514 Fort Smallwood Road, with one security guard suffering a 6-inch cut to his back.

Several bar patrons told Anne Arundel County Police officers that the suspects were in a Dodge pickup truck that was leaving the scene. As the pickup pulled out of the parking lot onto Fort Smallwood Road it struck an officer who was on foot.>>>read more.
