Smoke Is Coming From Aberdeen Proving Ground, Officials Say
BREAKING: Fire company reports that smoke in the area is coming from a site run by the U.S. Army.
ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD ā The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported that it had received multiple calls Wednesday afternoon about smoke in the area, and the source was determined to be Aberdeen Proving Ground.
The callers indicated smoke was in the Chase area, near Eastern Avenue at Oliver Beach Road, the fire company reported before 2:30 p.m.
"This has been investigated and was found to be a fire contained to the #APG," the fire company said in a statement.
