'Significant Storm Damage' Reported in Harford County: Emergency Manager
Harford County officials announce recovery may take more than 24 hours.

Utility issues and road closures persist after Tuesday night’s storms blew through Harford County, where hundreds of Delmarva and BGE customers without power.
As of 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, there were 1,217 Delmarva customers without power and 36 BGE customers without power.
The storm left “significant” damage behind, according to Harford County Emergency Manager Rick Ayers.

“Harford County has significant storm damage and the recovery effort will most likely continue through tomorrow night,” Ayers said in a statement at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“At this time, there are still over 4,000 households without power and County Executive Barry Glassman has asked for additional resources to help speed up the restoration time for those without power,” Ayers said.

The county has activated its emergency operations center to monitor the situation, and established a hotline citizens could call until 11 p.m. Wednesday with concerns: 410-838-5800.
Harford County government is reporting there are still several closures Wednesday evening:
- Falling Branch Road—Tree down on wires across road
- Stafford Road at Rock Run Road—Tree down across road
- 1000 block of St. Mary’s Road—Tree across road
- MD 136 north of Archer and MD 24
- MD 24 between Cherry Hill and Davis Road
- Route 23 at the Pennsylvania line
- Route 623 by Smith Road, only one lane getting by

Between noon and 7:15 p.m., several roads reopened, officials said: East Nobles Mill Road, Quaker Church Road, Wheeler School Road, Susquehanna Hall Road, Onion and Neil roads, Allibone Road and Glenville Road near MD 161.

Harford County government is reporting there are still several closures Wednesday afternoon:
Town of Bel Air: Lee Street between Hickory Avenue and Main Street—Removing a tree with crane
County roads:
- 1300 block Quaker Church Road—Tree in wires (Delmarva)
- Wheeler School Road from Jenkins to Graceton—Tree in wires (Delmarva)
- 100 block Wheeler School Road—Tree down and wires (Delmarva)
- Susquehanna Hall Road—Tree in wires (Delmarva)
- Falling Branch Road—Tree down on wires across road
- Onion and Neil Road—Tree on house
- 4900 block Clermont Mil near St. Mary’s and Rocks Road
- Glenville Road by Route 161—Tree across road
- East Nobles Mill Road—Wires down across road
- Stafford Road at Rock Run Road—Tree down across road
- 2200 block Allibone Road—Tree down across road
- St. Mary’s Road at Clermont Mill—Wires down across road
State roads:
- MD 136 north of Archer and MD 24
- MD 24 between Cherry Hill and Davis Road
- Route 23 at the Pennsylvania line
- Route 623 by Smith Road, only one lane getting by
City of Havre de Grace: None reporting
City of Aberdeen: None reporting
The National Weather Service received the following preliminary reports from the storm Tuesday:
- Multiple trees down at 2500-2900 Whiteford Road
- Trees broken in half in Street
- 58 mph winds in Hickory
- Large limbs broken on tree in Forest Hill
- Tree down in front of C. Milton Wright High School
