AT&T Store In Bel Air Is First Of Kind In Mid-Atlantic

BEL AIR, MD — A technology retailer in Bel Air is one of about 50 in the country to debut a new design. The layout of the AT&T in the Bel Air Plaza is what the company has called an "entertainment store."

Phones are located at the center of the space, and DirecTV screens around the shop provide information about offerings.

Augmented reality glasses, tablets and "smart" watches that work with smartphones have been concentrated in certain areas in the store, which has also expanded its offerings of accessories.

Lounge-like areas have been established where store representatives and customers can talk about products and compare plans.

The newly renovated Bel Air store has been open for about a month, officials say, and the new design reflects what will be the standard for other AT&T stores going forward. Approximately 45 "entertainment stores" are sprinkled throughout the country, and Bel Air is the first shop in the mid-Atlantic to present the design.

AT&T is located at 571 Baltimore Pike, Bel Air, MD 21014. It's open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
