Technical Rescuers Called To Constant Friendship

A vehicle went off-road Thursday afternoon in Constant Friendship. The Abingdon Fire Company issued a call afterward for volunteers.

ABINGDON, MD — One person was hospitalized after a vehicle went off-road in Constant Friendship Thursday afternoon, officials said. A technical rescue team was deployed to save someone from the car.

Crews were dispatched at 2:14 p.m. when a vehicle went into the woods in the 400 block of Constant Friendship Boulevard with a person reportedly trapped inside, according to the Abingdon Fire Company.

The Abingdon chief at the scene requested assistance from the Harford County Technical Rescue Team.

Emergency personnel rescued someone from the car, which was about 100 feet off the road, officials reported.

An Abingdon EMS crew took the victim to a local facility for treatment, according to authorities.
