Teddy Bears Donated To Police In Honor Of Former Bel Air Resident
The Leisher family donated teddy bears to the Bel Air Police Department in honor of Bobby Leisher who passed away in 2008.
BEL AIR, MD — The simply sight of a teddy bear can bring comfort to a child involved in an emergency call to police, while also helping heal the heartache left by the loss of Bobby Leisher in 2008.
For the second year, Colin and Kathy Leisher donated a batch of stuffed teddy bears in honor of their son on his birthday.
"The family donates these bears with one simple goal, to bring comfort and a smile to a child going through a difficult time. Our officers will carry these bears in patrol vehicles and provide them to children during calls where a little extra support can make all the difference. We are truly grateful to the Leisher family for allowing us to help carry on Bobby’s legacy right here in our community," the police department stated.
