Traffic Alert: Bel Air Road Closures for July 4

Police in Bel Air will block off several streets Saturday for the annual Fourth of July parade and fireworks.

Here’s a list of the closures, according to Det. Sgt. Jim Lockard of the Bel Air Police Department.

At 4 p.m., the following roads will close:

• South Main Street and Macphail Road
• South Main at Idlewild streets
• South Main at Homestead streets
• South Main Street at Linwood Avenue
• Kenmore Avenue in the area of Heighe Street
• Baltimore Pike at Kenmore Avenue/South Bond Street
• Entrance to Rockfield Park

At 5:30 p.m., the following roads will close:

• South Main Street at Eastern Avenue
• South Main Street at Powell Avenue
• South Main Street at the alley behind Looney’s
• South Main Street at Baltimore Pike
• Bond Street at Churchville Road
• Churchville Road at Hickory Avenue
• Churchville Road at South Main Street
• Main at Courtland streets
• Main at Office streets
• Main Street at Pennsylvania Avenue
• Main at Lee streets
• Main at Gordon streets
• Main Street at Broadway
• Baltimore Pike at Hays Street
• Baltimore Pike at South Atwood Road

The following will be closed at approximately 9 p.m.—they may close earlier—for fireworks:

• South Main Street at Fulford Avenue
• Fulford Avenue at Maitland Street
• Fulford Avenue at Ewings Street
• Fulford Avenue at Route 22
• Route 22 at Shamrock Road
• Main Street at Lee Way
• Route 22 at John Carroll
• Route 22 at Brierhill Drive
