After six police officers were charged in the death of Gray on Friday, Shabazz says that vigilance is vital.
“We cannot get complacent. They are already trying to intercept justice. They are trying to get rid of this prosecutor,” Shabazz said of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.
“We cannot start singing and sitting down,” said Shabazz in a statement. “We are gonna have to fight tooth and nail all the way to the conviction. Trust us. We know this enemy.”
The rally is in support of the people Of Baltimore and the fight against police brutality.
Sunday a March for #OneBaltimore
Pastor Jamal Bryant of Empowerment Temple is helping to coordinate Sunday’s demonstration, which is billed as an opportunity for unity.
“...we become #OneBaltimore to demonstrate in peace for #Justice for #freddiegray,” according to Empowerment Temple.
