Vacant Bel Air Building Burns, $100K In Damages: State Fire Marshal

A vacant building in Bel Air sustained $100K in damage after a fire broke out. The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A vacant commercial structure formerly occupied by Grove Plumbing caught on fire Jan. 14 shortly after 3 p.m. in the 300 block of Baltimore Pike in Bel Air.

Thirty firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to the one-alarm fire, which caused $100,000 in damage. It took the firefighters approximately 15 minutes to reign in the fire that was reported by a passerby.
