HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Schools in Harford County will start later than usual on Friday, Nov. 16, officials said. Authorities announced Thursday night that opening would be delayed on Friday due to the weather conditions and forecast.
Several inches of snow fell in Harford County on Thursday, Nov. 15, when schools were canceled.
Harford County Public Schools and offices will open two hours late on Friday, Nov. 16. Morning prekindergarten will be canceled.

Northwestern Harford County is under a winter weather advisory until 4 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16.
The advisory calls for freezing rain overnight, ending with a brief period of snow. Additional snow of a coating to an inch is expected, with additional ice accumulation of 0.1 inch, according to the National Weather Service.
Drivers should anticipate slippery road conditions and allow extra time. Visibility may be limited, and there may be periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain causing hazardous travel conditions.
