Weather Decision Updated For Wednesday: Harford County Public Schools

A weather decision has been updated for Wednesday classes, Harford County Public Schools officials said.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Due to Tuesday's storm system continuing to affect Maryland into Wednesday, there will be a no classes in Harford County Public Schools, and all offices are closed Jan. 10.

Essential personnel should receive information from their supervisor. This decision is a result of flooding and consequent road closures preventing bus access to students and to buildings throughout the county.

There will not be any pre-kindergarten or before school childcare.

The rain started Tuesday morning and got heavier into the evening and overnight. As much as 2 to 3 inches of rain fell with it finally tapering off sometime Wednesday morning, WBAL reported. Strong winds also are a factor with gusts up to 40-50 mph, with the strongest winds coming Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
