What's Open, Closed In Bel Air For Easter Weekend 2019

Some Bel Air and Harford County services will be closed for Good Friday, Passover and Easter Sunday.

BEL AIR, MD — Offices in the town of Bel Air will be closed Friday, April 19. The closure is in recognition of Good Friday. This year, Passover also starts on the evening of April 19 and continues until April 26. Easter is on April 21.

Here's what is open and closed for the Good Friday holiday:

Banks: Major banks across the country — Bank of America, Chase Bank and Wells Fargo — will be open Friday but people should check hours before heading over.

Libraries: Harford County Public Library branches will be closed on Friday, April 19, and Sunday, April 21.

Postal Service: The U.S. Postal Service does not observe Good Friday as a holiday, so most post offices will be open and mail will be delivered as normal. FedEx will modify service on FedEx Express and Freight, but operate on a normal schedule for all others. UPS doesn't observe Good Friday and will operate as normal.

Schools: Harford County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, April 19, and Monday, April 22, for spring break.

Recycling: Harford Waste Disposal Center and Tollgate Yard Trim Drop Off Facility will be open Friday, April 19, during regular hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the town of Bel Air, trash and recycling pickup are canceled on Friday, April 19.

Easter Closings

Mall: Harford Mall will be closed for Easter on Sunday, April 21.
