What's Open, Closed In Harford County For July 5
State offices are closed Friday, July 5, for the extended Independence Day holiday. See what else is not going to be open in Harford County.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — All branches of the Harford County Public Library will be closed Friday, July 5. In addition, the Havre de Grace branch will be closed on Saturday, July 6, during the city's Fourth of July festivities there.
Recycling in the town of Bel Air that was to be picked up Thursday will instead be picked up Saturday. Call the Bel Air Department of Public Works with questions at 410-638-4536.
Gov. Larry Hogan ordered July 5 to be recognized as a holiday this year due to the timing of the Fourth of July, coming on a Thursday.

"We have some tremendous family-friendly events taking place all around the state, not only on the Fourth of July, but throughout the entire weekend," Hogan said in a statement. "I hope the long holiday will encourage Marylanders to spend more time together and celebrate our nation's independence with all we have to offer here in our great state."

The Motor Vehicle Administration will close all branch offices and VEIP stations July 4-5 in observance of Independence Day.
Online services, 24-hour kiosks and self-service VEIP kiosks will be accessible to customers during the holiday closure.
