Woman Burned In Joppa On Fourth Of July: Officials

A woman was hospitalized with burn injuries, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported.

JOPPA, MD — Officials said a woman was burned in Joppa on the Fourth of July. Emergency personnel said they were dispatched at 7:22 p.m. on Wednesday to the 300 block of Chimney Oak Drive.

A woman sustained facial burns from using a charcoal grill, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, whose crew took her to the hospital.

She was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment, the fire company reported.
