Bel Air Women of The Moose Announce 'Ride For A Cause' Success

The local chapter of the Moose Lodge raised more than $5,600 for Fisher House and Mooseheart.

On July 15, 2017, Bel Air Chapter # 1469 of the Women of The Moose held their 8th Annual RIDE FOR A CAUSE fund raiser. The poker run is one of their many community benefit endeavors. This year they welcomed 72 riders and were supported by over 25 sponsors who made donations of $100 or more in cash or merchandise that was featured in their ticket auction. Proceeds from this event amounted to over $5,600 which will be divided between, Mooseheart Child City &School and the new Fisher House to be built at Perry Point.

Mooseheart Child City & School is a residential childcare facility, located on a 1,000 acre campus 38 miles west of Chicago. The Child City is a home for children and teens in need, from infancy through High School. The Moose Fraternity provides children with a wholesome home-like environment and the best possible training and education. Visit http://www.mooseheart.org/ for more information.

Fisher Houses provide military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. Their belief is “A Family’s Love is Good Medicine”. To date, over 305,000 families have been served since 1990 and have saved families over $360 million dollar and over 7 million days of lodging.
