Three Silver Spring restaurants sustained a total of $750,000 damage in a fire early Thursday that also injured one firefighter and displaced residents.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services Spokesman Pete Piringer says more than 100 firefighters were called to the two-alarm blaze about 1 a.m. at the Quarry House Tavern, 8401 Georgia Ave. The two-story commercial building was heavily involved when firefighters arrived, he said.
