Allbirds To Open Footwear Boutique At Bethesda Row This Week

Allbirds is scheduled to open its footwear boutique at Bethesda Row on Thursday, according to reports.

BETHESDA, MD — Allbirds is scheduled to open at Bethesda Row on Thursday, according to reports.

The wool fabric footwear store, at 4852 Bethesda Avenue, already has merchandise on display, Robert Dyer reported Saturday.

The Bethesda location will join Allbirds' shop on M Street in Georgetown as its two locations in the Washington, D.C., area.

Allbirds sells "eco-friendly sneakers and apparel, perfect for running, hiking, working out and relaxing in style," the company says on its website.

Founded in 2016, the New Zealand-American company has seen explosive growth over the past six years. The company went public on Nasdaq last November under the ticker symbol BIRD.

Other clothing stores are moving into Bethesda Row. Last month, California-based clothing store Jenni Kayne opened a new location at Bethesda Row. Faherty, a family run clothing company, is planning to open a new store at Bethesda Row this fall.
