Amazon Will Hire 750 Employees For Fresh Stores In DMV, Including Chevy Chase, By 2022
Amazon will have hired 750 employees in the DMV — including at Chevy Chase's Fresh store — by the end of 2021, the company said.
CHEVY CHASE, MD — Amazon says it will have created more than 750 jobs in the DMV area by the end of 2021 and it is still hiring at several locations, including Chevy Chase.
Amazon Fresh, a grocery store, has nearby locations in Chevy Chase, Franconia, VA, and Washington, D.C., and it's still hiring part-time and full-time employees. All positions pay at least $15 per hour, the company said.
“Our Amazon Fresh store team is strong and growing,” said Stephenie Landry, vice president of Amazon Grocery, in a statement. "I've enjoyed getting to know employees and seeing first-hand how they support each other and our customers while visiting our stores. Because of this amazing team, we're able to bring customers a new, innovative shopping experience that they love right in their own communities."

Amazon announced the Chevy Chase location in April, and it opened in August 2021 — its address is 5463 Wisconsin Ave. There are 18 Amazon Fresh locations across the country: the D.C. locations opened in Logan Circle and Franconia earlier this year.
