UPDATE: Amber Alert Canceled for Poolesville Baby

The 5-month-old girl was taken by force by her father, Montgomery County Police say. He surrendered Tuesday night.

The suspect in a child abduction turned himself in to Prince George’s County authorities Tuesday night. The child is safe and is being reunited with her mother.

An Amber Alert has been issued by authorities asking for the public’s help to find a missing 5-month-old Montgomery County girl taken by her father.

Drew Marie Denny was taken by her father from her mother’s home in the 19000 block of Hempstone Avenue in Poolesville, police say.

Drew is described as a black female, 2’05” tall and weighing 14 pounds. She has black eyes and short curly black hair.

The child’s father, Deare Denny, 26, took Drew by force from the Poolesville residence, according to police.

Deare Denny reportedly fled in a small, black SUV with New Jersey tags, D97DRW. Deare Denny is described as a black man, 5’10” tall, and weighing 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and dreadlocks. He also has multiple tattoos.

Anyone who has seen the baby or her father is asked to call 911. Callers may remain anonymous.
