Man Hospitalized After Being Shot In Bethesda: Police

Montgomery County Police said the man was found shot while officers responded to reports of a group of people "acting disorderly."

BETHESDA, MD — A man was hospitalized Sunday after Montgomery County Police were dispatched for reports of a disorderly group in the North Bethesda area.

Both police and personnel with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded shortly before 6:30 a.m. to the 12200 block of Wilkins Avenue.

At the scene, authorities found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the injuries were not life-threatening but did not specify further.

The man was treated at an area hospital.

Investigators have not said what prompted the shooting or announced any arrests or charges in the case.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
