BETHESDA, MD — A man was hospitalized Sunday after Montgomery County Police were dispatched for reports of a disorderly group in the North Bethesda area.Both police and personnel with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded shortly before 6:30 a.m. to the 12200 block of Wilkins Avenue.At the scene, authorities found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the injuries were not life-threatening but did not specify further.The man was treated at an area hospital.Investigators have not said what prompted the shooting or announced any arrests or charges in the case. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

From now through July 31, The McLean Community Center (MCC) and McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) are accepting applications for McLean Artfest 2026, the first year the beloved juried fine arts festival will be presented by both organizations.
The festival will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in McLean Central Park and will feature exceptional artists, live entertainment, interactive art activities and family-friendly programming.
Artists working in all fine art and fine craft media are encouraged to apply. Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work while connecting with thousands of collectors, art enthusiasts and visitors from across the Washington metropolitan region.
The application deadline is Friday, July 31.
