Bethesda Country Day School Donates Toys and Food to Families in Need

Students held food and gift drives to benefit Manna Food Center and Toys for Tots

Students at Bethesda Country Day School in Bethesda recently donated nonperishable food items to Manna Food Center and new toys to Toys for Tots. Over the past month, students held a food drive and toy drive, working together to collect the items, which benefited local families in need during the holidays. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of helping others.

Manna Food Center works to fight hunger, feed hope and transition Montgomery County residents from a
place of scarcity to prosperity by providing safe, sufficient and nutritious food. Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
