Bethesda Driver Killed in Head-On Crash; Police Investigate Alcohol Use
A Bethesda man whose car crashed into another vehicle may have been drinking before he got behind the wheel, Montgomery County Police say.

Kensington, MD — A Bethesda driver who crossed traffic lanes and collided with another vehicle head-on has died from his injuries, police say.
Just before 5 a.m. Wednesday, a 2011 Honda Civic was eastbound on Cedar Lane near Everett Street in Kensington when it crossed the centerline. The Civic collided with a 2004 Honda Pilot that was westbound on Cedar Lane.
Montgomery County Police have identified the Civic's driver as Marcial Matthew Saenz, 35, of the 5200 block of Pooks Hill Road in Bethesda. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

The driver of the Pilot, identified as Sara Nohemy Mejia Montoya, 28, of the 11900 block of Andrew Street in Silver Spring, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are investigating alcohol use by Saenz as a possible factor in the fatal crash.
