Bethesda Financial Firm Hit By Burglar, Video Released

Police say a cleaning crew worker let a burglar into Reliance Funding, and the suspect then rifled through individual offices.

BETHESDA, MD — A $10,000 reward is being offered for the arrest of a burglar who rifled through the offices of a Bethesda financial firm, authorities say.

The burglary occurred July 7 at the Reliance Funding office at 6900 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda. On Wednesday, detectives released surveillance video of the suspect and asked for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

Investigators say the suspect entered the building when a cleaning crew member opened the front door for him. Once inside the business, the burglar had access to the individual offices and police are working to determine what property was stolen.
