Bethesda Marriott Will Feature Rooftop Bar, 3 Restaurants.

Marriott has released new details on the three restaurants that will be part of Marriott Bethesda Downtown, which will open in January.

BETHESDA, MD — Three new restaurants, including a rooftop bar, will be included in Marriott’s new 245-room hotel on Woodmont Avenue that is scheduled to open in January, the company announced Monday.

The company is also opening up its new headquarters in Bethesda in January in a compound that will be called Marriott Bethesda Downtown at Marriott HQ.

The company announced online that the new hotel will feature a rooftop bar called Hip Flask, which will feature “an exclusive elevator, 3-sided glass windows, small plates, & craft cocktails.”

The hotel’s main restaurant, Seventh State, will feature a built-in Italian wood oven. Both restaurants will feature indoor/outdoor dining, Marriott said.

A third restaurant will be called M Club, but no details were given other than that it will be exclusive to members of Bonvoy, Marriott’s hotel loyalty membership program.

The new hotel and headquarters complex will be located right on the Bethesda Red Line Metro stop, a half-mile away from Bethesda Row. It will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, and guest rooms will overlook the city and parks. The lobby will feature a grand staircase, a 360-degree lobby bar, and USB charging stations, and the hotel will offer 6,800 square feet of function space.
