Bethesda Party Supply Store Robbery Suspect Photo Released

Video of a man suspected of robbing a Bethesda party supply store was released by police, and a $10K reward is being offered for tips.

BETHESDA, MD — Video of a man suspected of robbing a Bethesda party supply store was released by Montgomery County Police on Wednesday, and a $10,000 reward is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest in the case.

The break-in at the Bradley Party & Variety store, 6922 Arlington Road, happened about 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 26. On Wednesday, detectives released surveillance video of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store posing as a customer. Surveillance video shows that the suspect went to an employee area in the rear of the store, where he forced open a locked door where the business' cash was kept. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money, returned to the main area of the store, and walked out of the business.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the burglary is asked to call police at 240-773-6710.

To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
